"Certainly Des, I have said it already, in your circumstances, I see no conflict of interest. What you have laid out as verification is the way that it should be. Because you understand the system you work in a manner that justifies your…"
"Hey Lady L, welcome to the fray!
I agree that under our current bunch of verifiers (Des excluded of course!) and without any proper controls or guidelines from SETA's, verification by another provider is suspect. But it is sad as you…"
My question here is that if it is renewal of accreditation, where are the facilities they used for the original accreditation?
There is nothing dodgy about signing an MoU for them to use your premises provided of course that this will…"
"Henk, that has to be the saddest indictment of SETA inability to do what should be done. Using resources to "defend" a name that in many cases gone beyond defending! Defending your name means you have missed the bus somewhere…"
"See you've been down that road Henk!
It would be ideal if providers were aware of the purpose and function of verification, but who will do this? The SETA's? And then you have the problem that most providers will not…"
"Des, in your case I would totally agree that conflict of interest is not applicable, and probably your service is of far more value to providers than anything experienced amongst the majority of ETQA practitioners over the last 15 years.…"
"I am pleased that you are not leaving the industry. Sad that you have to sell, as a lot of work was put into it. I understand. Good luck with your hip replacement, as soon as you are strong we can meet again!"

To quote Edmund Burke "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." I have no fear of reprisal from any source, particularly when we are dealing with a system that so desperately needs…"

Wow, that took me about 10 minutes of rolling around on the floor hilarity before I could even consider answers to these questions.
Public interest first? At a time when we should be encouraging entrepreneurship, emerging…"
Congrats, it all finally came together! Sorry I have been so quiet, been hectic. Since our last contact I have relocated up to JHB from Durban and am now working for one of the training providers in establishing ETQA…"

The name of our company is Krost training for Africa, we are situated in the city centre on albert street and my number is 031 3044071, thank you for your help but we urgently need to find Qualified Freelance Facilitators & Assessors that are Boilermakers & Welders
Thanks for your message. My personal opinion is that the training and education field is over regulated, and like a monolith or a 3-toed sloth simply gathering moss and mass! The bottom-up view that I will be taking will seek to provide a different QA paradigm - which has not yet been designed! Hopefully my research will lead to the creation of this new paradigm.
Hi Nigel Thanks for your message. It’s early days yet and I have not started my actual research but I will be looking for people to survey/interview, etc when the time comes, so will definitely keep you in mind. I think this website might also give me access to private and/or workplace providers - I hope so anyway.
Obviously I am doing a lot of reading at the moment as I will be doing an international global developments overview as well as looking at the politics and economics of the situation as well as the developments in SA as they unfold with the QCTO etc
The research proper will probably only happen early next year once I’ve worked my way through the preliminary stages of the doctorate but the proposal has been accepted.
