The 2013 Research Ethics Integrity and Quality Assurance Conference brings together  higher education researchers, policy makers, research funders, journal editors, research chairs  and  ethics administrators  to provide insight to some the most challenging aspects of research management and conduct.

Various aspects of academic scandals, including scientific misconduct such as fraud, fabrication of data, plagiarism and insufficient regulation/administration of research have become a cause of concern over the years.
