Mitchelle Mmathabo Mabunda said… Good Morning Kegaisamang
Thank you for your comment. Yes, we do have an information session which includes issues of personal risk assessment, risk reduction, drug and substance abuse, relationship issues/abuse, smoking is also a separate topic on it's own. We talk about hygien especially in the next 6 weeks and in the future. We talk about HIV/AIDS, STI's, Infections whether bacterial or viral. We talk about what it means to be circumcised. We talk about sex and sexuality. We talk about myths around all these topics and rectify them as well.
These sessions are for males only. This is to open up communication between the client and our staff. We include all ages. Motivation is also one of the topics we have.
We also have a separate session for parents. There we talk about relationships between parent and child, what it means for them to be circumcised. We talk about the importance of support from a parents point of view. We also speak about challenges they are facing with their children. We also explain the hand wash technique to the parents as well so they can assist where their children my fall back.
Thank you again. I hope you will continue to share more information with me around these issues. you know what they say "you are never too old to learn".
Mitchelle
