I'm sure it IS unethical, with the result that I do not even respond to requests for assessors any more. I did ask an employee at Services Seta once and he said that they were working on some kind of solution and would announce it, but that was last…

South Africa is confronted with the twin problems of skills shortages and unemployment. Thusanani closes this gap!
Young previously disadvantaged and unemployed graduates are provided with the skills that they require to successfully enter the world of work. Thereafter their placement with employers is also facilitated. People that need help unquestionably receive it! Thusanani translates to 'help each other.'
If you are interested in the above programme - we might be able to help you in January 2010. we've helped 1500 graduates in your situation... with great success and placements at the end of the road!
good luck!
Regards,
let me know!

Fikile - there is no time like now. The IT industry is in constant change in order to meet the various global challenges to speed up and automate tasks that would normally take a long time to do. There are a number of personal or career development prospects that could be considered as alternatives. Remember, no matter what type of graduate you are, the learning should never end: hence the statement "Lifelong learning" being used in today's situation where industy competitiveness and the fight to survive amongst the "fittest" is evident. There is an excellent company that runs a number of learnerships e.g. Call Centre NQF 2 and 4, Technical Support NQF 4, System Support NQF 5, System Development NQF 5. Currently they also focus on running End User Computing NQF 3 for disabled individuals. Quite a number of Contact Centre NQF 2 & 4 learnerships also accommodate disabilities. I would encourage any interested young people between the age of 18 and 35, that are unemployed and not studying fulltime, are SA Citizens with no criminal record to fax their CV to (011) 205-8848 or send their CV to learnerships@bytes.co.za

Good luck.
