•Develop and maintain system to establish standards related to activities and product in the School of Rail and measure performance against established standards
•Develop and Implement quality Management strategy and plans, including resource, system, timescales, financials, to support, contribute to and integrate within the organisation’s annual business plan and long term strategy
•Ensure approval of Quality Management System by Senior Management, SETA and ISO and where applicable, ensure certification
•Execute the responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards, as referenced in the SAQA and SETA accreditation requirements, ISO and SANS 3000-4 standards and requirements
•Coordinate Internal & External Audits of ISO 9001:2008, Rail Safety Regulation, Ernest and Young & TETA Audits (Through all nine Training centres)
•Quality Training of Training Centre Managers on quality standards & procedures
•Coordinate non-conformances, corrective & preventive actions
•Analysis of data and reporting trends in order to drive structured root cause analysis
•Monthly report writing and presentation
•Analyze product performance data against defined parameters and assess product quality against manufacturing specifications and customer requirements
•Monthly review of quality KPI targets and provide inputs for continual improvement
