I'm really excited about the 3rd SAPTA meeting this Saturday. We've laid some of the initial ground-work and 2013 is a year of action and results.

Hi Charles - positive objectives and there certainly is a need. I will endeavour to stay up to date on developments but am not sure at this stage that I can make a valuable contribution to the establishment of a new organisation. There are so many new organisations being established and registered as Professional Bodies that one needs to consider and select one's focus areas. Have been a member of SABPP for more than 20 years and recently joined CIMAP as fellow member. I have wondered whether any professional organisations exist for developers of leaning material. Recently saw a draft  and contributed comments on Assessor Practitioner Pre-scoping document. Please keep us updated on developments.
