Hi Rob

We determine fees payable based on a couple of issues:

- what is actually required from the facilitator: only facilitate /prepare materials / prepare learning activities / facilitate process, assess and report back / facilitate and coach as follow-up, etc
- what the facilitator feels is a fair exchange in terms of their time and expertise relative to the per day fee the client is paying.

Fees can vary from 30% - 40% of your total per day fee to the client.

Fees vary from R200 to R500 per hour or R1600 to R4500 per day depending on the nature of the work.

Hi Rob. We are currently paying our Facilitators R 350 per hour. If they assess for us they get paid extra for that. There are other organisations that pay R 120 per hour but I have learnt that you get what you pay for. We supply them with all of the materials/guides etc that they will need. Bear in mind that this is East London where rates are probably lowert than in places like CT and Jhb. Hope that helps. Pete

Thanks for the response. looks as though the monthly going rate is between R 15k and R 20k. I fully agree with you, that if you pay peanuts .....

Hi Rob,

My experience as a facilitator has also been that the going rate seems to be between R2500.00 - R4500.00 per day depending on the complexity level of the course and the material provided (or not provided).
