I am 45 years old, currently completing BSc Mathematics/Programming and a MBA degree.
Currently working in the training sector, my working hours according to contract are from 14h00 to 17h00, and I am only allowed to serve current contracts.
The last eighteen months I have sent out my CV about 115 times. No response, not even an interview. One HR officer phoned me and told me I do not qualify for a Senior Tecnical Training Officer position due to the fact that I don't have a tractor license.
Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

Hi Louis, my thoughts are that you CV is an old-fashioned traditional one - that concentrates on the jobs/tasks/duties you've had not what you've achieved and the contribution you have made. Take the skills section and bring it to the top and rework it along these lines. Have you introduced a new system, streamlined something, successfully implemented a project on time? Do you have a scarce skill?
Consider the most recent 3 jobs. What positive contribution did you make to the jobs? Think about outputs not tasks. What can you offer that is possibly unique?
When you apply for a job have a brief introductory sentence that explains what unique contribution you can make to that particular job - tailor each application with what is relevant to the job - not a standard CV with lots of irrelevant information.
Then shorten down the list of jobs you have had, keep the list of qualifications but prioritise it based on the job you're applying for. I would say full details of references and proof of qualifications available at interview.
Finally, you seem to be doing a lot of time-consuming study - do you really have time to apply to a full-time job? As an HR person I would have reservations about that. What additional value will achieving the qualifications add?
