If a client said to you what process model do you use for decision making what would you say?The term process model has me slightly stumped. I have searched it and haven't come up with anything...do you think in this case it is another freaking buzz word but the actual question is pertaining to what tool would you use for decision making? Like a SWOT analysis for example. Or am I missing the point of the word?

For me, a process is the STEPs you take to for example make a reliable and effective decision. A tool may be a process or it may be a step in a process.

Hope this helps.

You might want to think about the Six Sigma or the Balance scorecard.
