Poverty Unemployment & Empowering Youth

A happy Workers Day to everyone,

Two projects worth pursuing this weekend:

1. Buy a copy of the new Big Issue - The sellers are working to make a living for themselves, they are not begging or asking for handouts. Help people trying to help themselves and reduce poverty. For R20 it's full of really interesting articles:

are vaccinations and innoculations safe?,
penis transplants - did you know SA apparently did the first successful one at Tygerberg?,
wonderful images of Cape Town - then and now, and
Mangosuthu Buthelezi really hasn't changed much from his youthful appearance, and

2. Check out the changes to the skills-universe categories. Following some discussions about opinion and referencing comments, there are now two re-named area:

"Opinion and discussion" for exactly that - of course you can still use the relevant Groups for discussion, and
"Knowledge Area" for academic discussion, uploading papers for comment, book reviews, and downloads of state legal and policy documents.
