Many skills-universe members have expressed their frustration with decision-making of SETAs, the QCTO, and various government departments.  In the old days we simply heard “rules is rules” with no rights to question how and why.

But in terms of the South African Constitution we do now have a right to administrative justice – that is people in authority making decisions have certain responsibilities in terms of how they make their decisions.

APPETD legal committee provide guidance and clarification on the Promotion of Administrative Justice Act for members.

However, please remember always to investigate your own circumstances further and obtain appropriate advice first before taking any action.
