Many of the larger companies' human resource departments do report monthly/quarterly and annually on their skills development activities.  Some have their measures integrated into the company balanced scorecard reporting.

I'm interested to find out from members what skills development activities are you reporting on to management - and what are your opinions of what we should be reporting on?   What are the metrics that are currently being used?
