Training and Development

Hi Guys!

Is training and development so slow lately, i realise that there are companies downsizing and some closing down, or is it only in the IT Sector that we are experiencing this, what can be the cause?

I heard an economist say that the first thing you see when the economy is not growing is the dissapperance or slowing down of training because many companies view that as less important.
