Thanks Jacqui - you are right - a must attend session for all those in skills development and education.  One concern I have is the manner in what the department appears to be subverting the consultation process.  "The process was a long one, with public comment on the draft version closing at the end of January 2011". (Once again in the period when most people are on leave).  "The final document was published for public notice on 11 November 2011". Now the question is how can the "final document" be published for public information before the end of the consultation process?

Agreed. They tried the same with the HEQF and GENFETQF - the date has been extended to 7 March for comment which gives us a little breathing space. I suppose the documents are not cast in stone and if there are strong objections, then maybe there is a slim chance for changes! We should ask the question: how many public comments did they get?

The closing date for comments on the proposed qualifications sub-frameworks for General

and Further Education and Training, Higher Education and Trades and Occupations is hereby

extended to 7 March 2012.

Notice 913 of 2011 published in Government Gazette No. 34883 of 23 December 2011 is amended accordingly.

Minister of Higher Education and Training

A special group has been created for your comments on the Qualifications Sub-framework For Genfet HE and QCTO.  We will submit any comments received in the name of the skills-universe.

For those who have not seen the Level Descriptors for the National Qualifications Framework - document now attached.
