Please read the Cover letter for a detailed explanation of how you as a provider can help us with this project, It is very important that we get as much feedback as possible before tomorrow. Some of you may have seen and/or returned a copy of the questionnaire but please have a look at it again, of all the thousands of emails and faxes we have sent the last month the response was extremely poor. We can't stress the importance of a study like this enough. Have a look at the cover letter below and the questionnaire is the link below the cover letter, you can also get a copy of the questionnaire here.

Thank you in advance for your support.

As an accredited provider with the ETDP SETA I receivd this letter and questionnaire yesterday with the request I complete it and return it by today. I have returned it to the SETA with a copy to the CEO pointing out my disgust that as a provider so little store is placed on our opinions and we are requested at the last minute to give imput on such an important issue.
As with your request Franco, I find it insulting that we can be treated in such a manner and at short notice.
I urge other providers to make their annoyance known - How long are we going to accept this from the SETAS?

Hi Des, below is a response from our MD. I appologise for the late reply but I was out of action for a while.

Hello Des,

I can see that you are really frustrated with the putrid manner in which the questionnaires for the SSP has been managed, and agree that you are fully entitled to be really … well, angry. Thank you for putting the blame on the ETDP SETA and not on us, though! Then again, it might be us whom you should blame, depending on when and from whom you received the questionnaire.

Unfortunately the ETDP SETA saw it fit to cut us out of the project once they were happy with the research results and concept SSP that we submitted. We believe that we could have made a substantial contribution if only they allowed us to do so, and it would have cost them no more than the agreed upon consultancy fee anyway. I don’t know if they sent out more questionnaires after we submitted a 330 page report to them, since this would have been totally senseless. So, let’s work on the premises that the questionnaire that you received came from us.

We sent out more than 24,000 questionnaires because we felt that we had to give every stakeholder in the ETDP Sector a fair chance to contribute to the SSP. Also, we started sending out questionnaires within one week from the date on which we were given the contract to do the research. As can be expected there were quite some frustrations for us as well, but I will spare you the agony of having to read all my moans and groans.
In closing, I sincerely apologise if Mentornet was responsible for your frustration and will never do so again!

Kind regards
(Dr. Jaap Nel)
