Hi All,
I am running a project in Nampula, Mozambique and am looking for a diploma training for the Mozambican project director. He is heading a smalle regional training centre providing short courses in the fiel of local governance and public administration. He would like to be trained on how to manage such a training centre. Anything that you can recommend?
Thanks
Petra

I can suggest the looking at the following - NQF Support Link Programmes - www.edegree.co.za
or alternatively reading the following books which i found helpful:
Managing the Training Process by Mike Wills - www.mwls.co.uk
Successfully Managing a Training Project - www.campus.veolia.com
However, have not been able to find these books in SA.
I do not know of any training programmes being offered in SA for this besides the NQF Support Link.
Regards
Ulita

Dear Petra,
I hope you are well? There is a education management certificate course offered via distance learning by MANCOSA, a fully accredited private higher education university based out of Durban. They have been established for quite awhile now and I completed one of their labour market information courses and it was really good. Try and look on www.mancosa.co.za. Many of the existing workplace learning or Occupationally-directed education and training courses in South Africa are really very South African in context and are filled with the national qualifications speak. My suggestion is that he does the education management programme and then consider looking at a train-the-trainer or something similar that will match his job scope or performance requirements.
My best, Ashwell Glasson
