Are you a positive or negative thinker?
The way we think ultimately determines our personal success or failure. When we cultivate positive thoughts we have a tendency to behave in a positive manner but if our thoughts are negative then our behaviour will be negative. This is a fact and must be accepted as such whether you want to believe it or not.
Many people wake up in the morning and say “Good morning God”. They wake up, full of energy and excitement at what can be accomplished today. Others however wake up and say "Good God it's morning" and immediately behave in a negative manner. Who do you think will have the better day?
Many people have found that, when they tune in to their internal dialogue, much of it is negative. Thoughts like, "I could never do that" and "What if I fail? or even “What if I succeed?” can seriously impact the way you behave. This, in turn, affects every aspect of your life.
Develop your positive attitude!
Listen to your internal dialogue and change every negative thought that comes into your head to a positive one. Re-word each thought as a positive one. For example if you think "I'll never get this finished by the end of the day!" could become, "I can get most of this finished by the end of the day."
Failure comes as a result of self inflicted obstacles and barriers. We create our own failure syndrome by failing to cultivate self belief. You can succeed irrespective of the obstacles place before us in life and in a business environment.
It’s all about letting go of the "emotional baggage" that holds us back. All that you require is already within you, so do not give your power away by blindly following others. Rather, trust in the goodness that already resides within you. Believe in your own abilities and dwell on the positive aspects of your life. Put the negatives of the past behind by asking what you have learned from the experience. If the lesson gives you some positive reinforcement then retain it if not cast it aside and let go of it altogether. “There is no point in living in the past”

The critic within is the internal voice of negative judgmental self talk. It is the nagging feeling, the inner voice that makes us critical of ourselves and others. This ability to think negatively was developed in early childhood and is based on childhood rules and standards we internalised about how we were supposed to think, feel and behave.
For many years we were “Subject to the Negative Influences of Other People”. These are referred to as the SNIOPS.
We learned to be critical of ourselves. We learned to fear and to be afraid. When we were told not to do something we didn’t do it. We learned to be critical of others when they did not conform to what we wanted or expected.
The critic within is continually judging what we can and cannot do. The inner critic is ready at all times to tell us how insignificant, inadequate, useless and incapable we are. It is the voice that causes self-doubt and negativity.
When we love and accept ourselves for who and what we are we see others in our lives as mentors on the road to our personal success. We listen and we learn from others. Suddenly we realise we are all working towards a common goal of success.
Failure is in the mind. If you believe you cannot do something then you never will.

The Power Of Words Over Water
Can water be affected by our words?
Dr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist, believes so. And he has proof.
Dr. Emoto took water droplets, exposed them to various words, music, and environments, and froze them for three hours. He then examined the crystal formations under a dark field microscope. And he took photographs.
The results were totally mind-blowing.
Here’s a photo of ordinary water without any prayer spoken over it.(sorry do not know how to import the photoes) The molecular structure is in disarray.
The photo below is water after the prayer was said. It’s simply breathtaking. Dr. Emoto also exposed water to Heavy Metal music. Here’s how it looks like. Looks sad if you ask me.
Here’s water exposed to classical music and folk dance music.. Looks much better, right?
Next, Dr. Emoto stuck a piece of paper with these words: “You make me sick. I will kill you.” Here’s how the frozen water droplets look like under the microscope…
Below is how water looked like with the words “Love” spoken over it. The difference is amazing.

Dr. Emoto also experimented with cooked rice.
He placed one cup of cooked rice in two airtight jars. On one jar, he wrote, “I love you,” and on the other, “You fool.” Everyday for 30 days, Dr. Emoto would say these words to each jar of rice.
After 30 days, the “I love you” rice was still white. But the “You fool” rice was so rotten, it was black. How can you explain this?
I encourage you to speak words of Truth.
Dethrone the lies in your mind.
Say, “I’m beautiful.” Say, “I’m a wonderful person.” Say, “I have a great future.” Say, “I’m anointed. I’m strong. I’m blessed.”
Use your words to create your desired reality.

Yes I am familiar witht he work and studies of Dr Emoto. Unfortunately in life we allow ourselves to be subject to the negative influences of others. We forget that
"Of all the people you will know in your lifetime, you are the only one you can never leave or lose.

Hi Des, great read! Also take a look at 'Excuse me, your life is waiting' by Lynn Grabhorn. She emphasises the fact that we should pay attention to how and what we are feeling. Positive feelings vibrate at a much higher and powerful frequency than negatives and thus we grow. So check it out!

Thanks Des for a powerful article. It is like you were talking to me. I lost opportunities because i did not believe in myself for a very long time. It took other people for me to believe in myself. After doing so well in whatever I would have attempted to do, I would attribute my success to luck, a sure sign of somebody who did not believe in himself. When I eventually developed some self-belief and confidence, it was a bit late. However, I managed to pick up the pieces and took myself somewhere. Des there are so many talents that are going to waste because people do not believe in themselves and articles such as yours can go a long way in arresting this scourge of self-denigration. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.
